Guidelines for Submitting Articles

The Missouri Municipal League welcomes articles for publication in its official publication, The Missouri Municipal Review. Contributory information from member municipal officials, legislators, consultants, MML staff and others is necessary to maintain the magazine's high-quality editorial content.

Article Submission Guidelines -- Feature articles are typically no more than 1,500 words, but we will also accept shorter articles. If you feel a topic needs more space, contact editor Laura Holloway to discuss. We work to be flexible with authors based on the topic. Articles must be educational in nature and not contain advertorial material. Authors are provided a short vitae at the end and may include contact information.

The Missouri Municipal Review editorial board reviews all articles and determines if an article will be published. The editorial board reserves the right to edit accepted articles to conform to the League's style and usage.

Articles should be submitted in word format, and emailed to Laura Holloway at [email protected]. The editorial board will also consider images/graphics sent as separate, print-ready (high resolution) files to Laura Holloway.

All material is due to MML by the first of the month prior to publication. For example, materials are due Feb. 1 for the March/April issue.
